Engines

The powerful 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine has twin-charging with a turbocharger, an electric auxiliary compressor and an integrated starter generator. The power unit produces 320 kW (435 HP) and maximum torque of 520 Nm, delivering excellent acceleration and dynamically agile driving pleasure.

The 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive catapult the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC+ Coupé and its S-model variant into a new performance level. The result: 420 kW, or 450 kW output at a torque of up to 750 Nm, or 850 Nm. The integrated starter-generator not only provides additional thrust, but also recuperates it. A modern 48 volt on-board power supply system reliably supplies energy and the auxiliary compressor delivers torque just above idling.

AMG performance exhaust system

A special acoustic experience comes courtesy of the controllable AMG Performance exhaust system. The variably adjustable exhaust flaps give you the option to change the sound of the vehicle at the press of a button. Depending on the drive mode, the sound characteristics change from unobtrusive comfort to maximum emotive appeal.

AMG high-performance braking system

Benefit from excellent deceleration rates in any situation: The AMG high-performance braking system is your reliable partner when speed needs to be metered precisely and reduced accurately. The generously dimensioned brake discs are ventilated all-round.

Compared with the standard brakes, it is characterised by low weight and thus enhances agility.

AMG Performance 4MATIC+

The performance-oriented all-wheel drive steplessly calculates the optimum torque distribution depending on the driving conditions and driver's requirements. The driver thus benefits from the advantages of both a traction-oriented all-wheel drive system and a pure rear-wheel drive system – and from excellent handling on any surface.

AMG Active dynamic engine mount

The dynamic AMG engine mounts solve the conflict of aims between an engine mounting which is as soft as possible for high comfort and one which is hard for superior driving dynamics. A driving situation detection function continually sets the optimum damping and stiffness values. As such the engine is always connected to the body with a hardness which is appropriate to the situation.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission

The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G nine-speed automatic transmission provides short shift times and a double-declutching function when downshifting (depending on the selected driving mode).
